Announcing My Candidacy for FIFA President 2027 to Replace Donald J Infantino
As a priority, if elected FIFA President in 2027, I pledge to:
- cap World Cup ticket prices at £50 for supporters who are members of their national football association.
- return the World Cup to 32 qualifying nations. Get rid of this 3rd place nonsense.
- replace unnecessary hydration breaks with common sense. If it’s 18°C and raining, play football.
- Cap executive salaries. FIFA should attract custodians of the game, not collectors of bonuses. If you don’t love football you don’t work for FIFA.
- If VAR hasn’t made a decision within 30 seconds, the referee’s decision is final
- FIFA will not gift tickets to celebrities, politicians, billionaires or anyone else. Buy your ticket like the rest of us.
- Limit the presidency to 4 years.
Football doesn’t belong to FIFA. It belongs to the people who stand in the soaking rain on a Tuesday night in Stoke, Munich, Rio or anywhere, who save for years to follow their country across the world, and who still believe that the game is worth protecting.
Fans shouldn’t have to spend their life savings to watch the world cup. This ends when I am president.
