Update 7th July 2021. The widow of a man who booed himself to death during the German National Anthem has vowed to carry on booing during the Danish National Anthem.
“It’s what he would ov wanted” (SIC) she cried, before claiming that she was also protesting the Vikings and Lego.
This reporter pointed out that she was likely more closely related to the Vikings than she was to Boudica but received a slap for his troubles.
Wembley Stadium. 29th June 2021.
An English man accidentally booed himself to death during the German National Anthem before Tuesday’s 2-0 win.
It’s thought the man, whose name is yet to be released, booed so hard that his lungs came out.
His grief-stricken wife said, “He loved to boo; he has always been a booer since he first started going to football with his Dad, also a big fan of booing. They loved booing together at football through the ’90s, and after his Dad died of a non-booing condition, he carried on the tradition.”
Officially he disapproved of the Nazi’s dismantling of democracy in the 1930s, and this was his way of protesting a 90-year-old bugbear. Unofficially he was a bigot who just liked to yell at foreigners.
He’ll be sadly missed by someone, somewhere, probably.
